Updated AHS Restrictions pause Training

May 07, 2021

The announcement of new Covid-19 restrictions on Tuesday, meant that the the scheduled rugby training for week beginning May 3rd onwards has been put on hold temporarily.

The Club are ready to go and have health and safety protocols all lined up for training but have put their plans on hold with the announcement that all outdoor sports are suspended until at least May 25th 2021.

Club Manager Francine Horton is keen to get going and is eagerly awaiting an update from the government that will at least allow the youngsters the opportunity to train even if it is socially distanced for a while.  Coaches are ready to go with 9 players allocated to one coach - that being the last advice given by Alberta Health.

Players and members already signed up for this year should be aware that although refunds will not be given this year as decided by Rugby Canada, the Club is trying to offer value for money.  Considerations will be given to alternative training times/days later in the year or other programs.

In the meantime, the Club are looking at ways of raising some much needed funds to pay for the new health and safety items that are now required.
