Huge thanks to Alberta Community Initiative Program!

The Community Initiative Program provides funding to support initiatives that enhance and enrich communities throughout Alberta.
The CIP grant, run by the Government of Alberta, has given BVRC the opportunity to purchase several pieces of much needed equipment such as game balls, camcorders and tripod and agility poles as well as assisting the Club to pay for a much needed equipment shed.
The grant also went towards the jerseys that our junior players wore on the Shawnigan 2020 tour (see photo), and new jerseys for our senior players. These jerseys, although purchased last year were used for play during the 2021 season and the junior ones will continue to be used for a few more years. The senior ones will be passed down to our Under 18/Under 17 teams.
Grants like these help community based organisations such as Bow Valley Rugby Club to continue to grow and develop and offer great sporting opportunities to our community.
