TOUCH RUGBY

Stay Active and Connected
Through Winter

As one of the most fun and competitively priced sports around, touch rugby is a phenomenal way to stay active and connected throughout the dark days of winter. With both junior (U13 to U18) co-ed programs and senior co-ed programs available, there are programs for (nearly) all to enjoy!

Touch Rugby FAQ

What age groups are able to play?

We have a junior program (includes U13 up to U18) and a senior (18+ program). Both programs are co-ed, with a focus on fun and skill development. For questions about age eligibility, please refer to our Age Grade chart.

When and where do you run the sessions?

The junior (U13 to U18) touch rugby sessions run on Fridays from 7pm to 8pm. The Senior (18+) sessions run from 8pm to 9pm. All sessions are held on the sport court at Spray Lakes (big room across from the gym and gymnastics).

How much does it cost?

JUNIORS: for Juniors that still have an active membership from the summer program (with ANY club), registration costs $60. For Juniors who did not play with a club in the summer, registration costs $74.75. Please note that, if your child was registered with a different club in the summer, proof of registration will be required.

SENIORS: Similarly, for Seniors that still have an active membership from the summer program (with ANY club), registration costs $60. For Seniors who did not play with a club in the summer, registration costs $74.75. Please note that, if you were registered with a different club in the summer, proof of registration will be required.

How do we register?

FOR PEOPLE WITH ACTIVE MEMBERSHIPS: For both Juniors and Seniors alike, if you have an active membership from the summer, you can etransfer our club administrator at [email protected]. As mentioned above, if you or your child has an active membership from the summer, please etransfer $60.

FOR PEOPLE WITHOUT ACTIVE MEMBERSHIPS: For both Juniors and Seniors alike, if you do NOT have an active membership from the summer, you can register using the https://www.playhq.com/ca/rugby-canada/register/0990d4.

How do we know if we have an "Active" membership or not?

Important question given there is a slight price difference (and registration process). An active membership means that you registered for any of our main, full-contact options in the summer. The insurance for those programs carriers over until April of the following year, which is why there is a slight price discrepancy. So if you registered and played in the summer, you have an "Active" membership.

When does it start, and how long does it go?

The first session is on Friday January 8th, 2027, and runs every Friday until the last session on Friday March 19th, 2027.

What level of experience do I need to have?

None! These sessions are for everyone, from beginner to experienced. The emphasis is on fun, community connection, and skill development over time. We ask folks to leave their egos at the door and come ready to enjoy.
